Singapore has played an important role in reconnecting us to South East Asia. Singapore has been amongst India’s strong supporters in South-East Asia, paving the way for our membership of ARF and EAS and engagement with ASEAN. As pluralistic societies with market economies, the two countries share similar concern on the challenges posed by terrorism and extremism and have found it mutually beneficial to evolve a broad framework of security cooperation.
