Message from the High Commissioner
 




Welcome to the website of the High Commission of India in Singapore. Our primary focus is to provide information on consular and visa related matters, such as, issuance of visas, issuance and renewal of passports, authentication/ legalization of documents, Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) cards and Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. 

The website also contains links to places of interest, media, business and investment opportunities, as well as links to other Indian government agencies. We also seek to provide a brief glimpse of the High Commission’s activities. In case you do not find all the information you need, please feel free to contact me by e-mail at hc@hcisingapore.org. We will endeavour to respond to your mail as quickly as possible.

Bio data of the High Commissioner

Prior to appointment as High Commissioner to Singapore, he was Head of the Division dealing with Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi. His previous overseas postings include Islamabad (2003-2007), United Kingdom (1995-1998), Bhutan (1992-1995) and Kuwait (1983-1986). He has also served in different capacities in the Government of India in the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1982.

T.C.A. Raghavan graduated from the University of Delhi and has a Post Graduate Degree in History from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.  In 1992 he was awarded a Doctorate in Modern Indian History by the Jawaharlal Nehru University.

He is married and has two daughters.
